Kniphofia 'Yellowhammer' is another great variety to try. In late-Winter to early Spring, multiple flower spikes emerge from the slender, upright foliage clumps and are topped by green tinged, yellow buds. As the flowers mature, they are a clear butter-yellow colour and last for many weeks. Dead-heading old flowers will promote flesh blooms.
