A must have perennial for late seasonal colour and interest in the garden. From an expanding clump up to 60cm wide, flower spikes to around 120cm tall emerge in early Summer and the display lasts well into late Autumn. The petals  are a deep rich, dark-orange red colour and they surround a prominant chocolate-brown central disk rimmed with gold and covered with golden pollen that attracts butterflies and other pollinators. This fantastic plant combnies well in a mixed perennial planting, with ornamental grasses, in a naturalistic planting and in a prairie style garden.
