Known as Tufted Hair Grass, this Deschampsia will grow from full sun to part shaded positions. Growing into neat, evergreen, tufted clumps, they have an overall tidy and rounded habit. In Spring masses of fine flower spikes are topped with an airy haze of soft light-purple-bronze flowers. The flowers give a real lightness to other perennials growing around it. We use masses of them to form a soft, shimery effect in the perennial gardens.
