Allium sphaerocephalon

Drumstick Allium. A great addition in the garden for some colour, interest and movement. We grow it amongst grasses and other perennials in the prairie style plantings. This easy going plant arises from bulbs in late Winter. The emergent foliage looks like chives and is topped by golf ball sized, spherical two-toned flower heads of green and purple. The bulbs multiply readily and after just a few years you will have nice sized clumps.
